1st Grade

Welcome to First Grade at China Spring Elementary!

First graders are wonderfully equipped to astonish us with how much they can grow in just one year! This foundational development is crucial for success in second grade, and all the years beyond. That means we think first grade is a pretty big deal. We want this once-in-a-lifetime year to be a productive and wonderful one for you and your child.

Standards Based Reports Cards

If you were with us in Kindergarten, our report cards will look familiar. In first grade we’ve chosen to use a standards based report card to help give you the most accurate information we can about your child’s early academic progress. Next year, in second grade, your child will begin to receive a more conventional report card with numerical grades.
